Laura Hairston strives to break the typical. She brings a fresh perspective to her faith and her music. Laura grew up in Wichita Falls, Texas and began singing when she was 4. By the time she was in 7th grade she was leading worship for her youth group. Laura attended college at Hardin Simmons and while there sang for the Grace Bible Study. She also served as the Worship Associate at Preston Trail Community Church in Frisco, Texas for 5 years.

Currently, Laura is the Co-Founder of Waken Ministries & leads worship locally. Drawing on musical influences as diverse as Nicole Nordemman and John Mayer and the inspiration of worship leaders such as Kari Jobe and Chris Tomlin, Laura loves nothing more than leading a group of people in authentic worship.
